Vegan cake, cookie and treat deliveries in Norwich

Thanks to the enterprising small businesses of Norwich, lockdown 2.0 doesn’t have to stop you from getting the comforting sweet treats you might desire to perk you up on a dreary winter day.

Whether you’re in the mood for brownies, blondies, cupcakes, flapjacks, cookies or scones, the good news is there’s an independent, vegan-friendly business in Norwich ready and waiting to deliver them to your door. Order for yourself, a loved one, or a co-worker you’re buttering up – whatever the reason, getting a vegan cake delivery in Norwich has never been easier.

Here are a few great places to order from if you’ve got a craving for delicious vegan desserts.

Baked Well Cakes

All of the goodies at Baked Well Cakes are gluten-free and vegan, and the brains behind the operation has put in place free home deliveries in NR1-NR10 postcodes when you spend £10 or more in the online shop. Just order by 2pm for next-day delivery!

There are so many choices I can’t possibly list them all here, but they include:

You can also order entire coconut and citrus cakes, chocolate and blackberry cakes, boxes of assorted cupcakes, all manner of other sweet treats AND – as if that’s not enough – a heap of incredible savoury goods such as thyme and maple sausage rolls, firecracker cheese and chilli pinwheels, and pepperoni pizza puffs. Honestly, I’m drooling. Check out the Baked Well online shop page to see the full range! You can also follow Baked Well Cakes on Instagram.

Deerly Beloved Bakery

Deerly Beloved Bakery are the original Norwich vegan bakers, who’ve been crafting delicious 100% vegan desserts since before it was the cool thing to do. They offer a postal range that you can order for delivery via a contact page on their website, which includes:

  • Biscoff Blondies
  • Giant cookie sandwiches
  • Peanut choc chip blondies
  • Giant choc mallow wheels
  • A best-sellers box featuring 2x biscoff blondies, 2x peanut choc chip bondies and 1x giant cookie sandwich.

Look out for other letterbox-friendly options on their bakes and treats page! Allow 1-4 days for delivery, with orders usually posted weekly on Tuesdays.

The Pottergate Pantry

I’ve got a real soft spot for The Pottergate Pantrys lunch deliveries, which helped make meeting friends in the park for a picnic extra special when the original lockdown first lifted a bit. Ordinarily a food-to-go venue, The Pottergate Pantry rose to the challenge of keeping busy throughout lockdown by launching afternoon tea deliveries, deluxe lunch platters and boxes of treats – and there are great vegan choices to be had.

For straight up sweet treats, you can create a vegan selection box for £10 featuring your choice of:

  • Chocolate cupcakes
  • Lemon drizzle cake
  • Vanilla cupcakes
  • Banana bread
  • Cherry flapjacks
  • Plain flapjacks

But I’d also highly recommend treating yourself to a luxury or deluxe lunch, or an afternoon tea sometime too. Pottergate Pantry offer vegan scones, crisps and sausage rolls for these, as well as various sandwich fillings including Quorn chicken salad, smashed avocado and sweet chilli, vegan cheese and pickle, cheese and cucumber or carrot and hummus.

Free delivery to NR1-NR6 postcodes, and a small fee for delivery elsewhere. Visit their Facebook page to find out more or make an order of your own.

Cupcake & Co

Cupcake & Co set up an online shop during the original lockdown and it’s back in action for round two. While not everything in the range is suitable for postal delivery, their site notes that anything marked with a (P) on their ‘order here’ page can be sent via Royal Mail. Vegan options are marked with a V.

Current vegan options include:

Orders require a minimum two full working days’ notice, for contactless delivery in Norwich Wednesday-Saturday. Minimum spend for delivery is £10, with a £3.75 delivery fee.

Little Shop of Vegans

While Little Shop of Vegans aren’t a bakery, they do have a wide range of vegan treats – obviously – and they offer local delivery for NR1-NR8 postcodes for £2.99, or free if you spend over £60. Deliveries arrive on Wednesdays or Fridays between 10am and 1pm, and locals can order fresh and frozen goods as well as store cupboard favourites.

To scratch the itch of a sweet tooth craving, why not try one of these:

  • New England Cookie Co cookies
  • Dandies vegan marshmallows
  • Go Max Go bars (replicating the likes of Twix, Bounty and more!)
  • Maltybites (vegan maltesers!!)
  • London Apron mini meringues

Visit the chocolate and sweets page of their website to see what’s in stock right now, or enter ‘cookie’ in the search bar for the full cookie range!

Tofurei

Known for their excellent cakes and bakes, Tofurei have smashed it out of the park for lockdown, with deliveries of both hot foods and bake-at-home fresh and frozen goodies now available.

If you live within a 30-minute drive of Norwich city centre, you can order bake-at-home goods, fresh and frozen produce by Friday for delivery on a Sunday, including tofu pasties and soysage rolls, but if it’s cake you’re after you’re in even more luck – cake delivery is available Wednesday to Saturday, midday until 6pm, and you can order straight from their website.

In addition to all manner of hot lunch goodies (which I’ll tell you a bit more about in an upcoming piece about independent lunch and dinner deliveries throughout Norwich) you can choose from:

  • Biscoff brownie-cookie
  • Spiced apple crumble mini loaf
  • Salted caramel choc cheesecake
  • Pumpkin spiced and caramelised pecan cake

Eat With Ella

Ella’s homemade brownies, blondies and other treats can be ordered in advance each week for free weekend delivery to NR1-NR7 postcodes.

In addition to tonnes of options for non-Vegans, Eat With Ella always offers a delectable vegan treat box, with contents changing each week. At the time of writing, vegan brownie flavours you might find arriving on your doorstep include lotus biscoff, peanut butter, oreo and white chocolate, bourbon biscuit or jammy dodger. (Then there’s the tiffin, cookies and everything else…)

A box of four assorted bakes is £12, arriving on the next Saturday after ordering – or you can request custom boxes tailored to your cravings.

Little Pie Patisserie

Maybe you’ve got more than a cakey craving: maybe it’s a lockdown birthday, or another special occasion. Or maybe you just want a really fabulous pick-me-up, above and beyond a small treat selection… For something extra special, Little Pie can deliver full afternoon teas and celebration cakes, as well as vegan pastries, cupcakes and ready meals.

Vegan afternoon tea includes a choice of sandwiches, savouries, scones and sweets just like the ‘normal’ version, and if you’d like to treat someone else but you’re not sure what their favourite options would be, you can send gift vouchers for them to redeem. Email littlepiepatisserie@gmail.com for orders, and check Little Pie’s Instagram highlights for more menu information.

The Cuppie Hut

The Cuppie Hut, usually based on Norwich Market, smashed it with their online store during the last lockdown. While their vegan treat box and vegan brownies are currently showing as out of stock online, they’re arranging delivery via Norwich Urban Collective, and goodies should be back on the delivery list soon…

Do you know of any other great independent venues offering vegan cake deliveries in Norwich right now? Please do let me know so I can add them to this list!
